As a future educator I strive to become an teacher that not only gives knowledge and techniques to students but also help them in the learning process with encouragement and practice to be able to master those skills. The purpose of education should be to help the individual student grow in knowledge, concepts, techniques, practice, and be able to use them to fit the needs of their community and the individual. These skills should be enable the student to use them in society in either a future career or as a citizen of society in whichever area they choose to use them in. The social purpose of public support in education, I feel  is to help involve not only parents and citizens in the educational process but allow students to be involved and connected with their community. The involvement allows the community to give resources to students and shape the participation of education in its communities members. Spending resources to educate the young allows the community to be able to have some say and involvement in what the students are learning in their schools.
